How to use the aerator

1. Choice of boot time

  1. Start the aerator at noon on a sunny day to stir the water and increase the dissolved oxygen in the pool water. Avoid starting it in the evening on a sunny day.
At noon on a sunny day, the temperature difference between the upper and lower water layers in the fish pond is large, and the oxygen in the lower water layer cannot be replenished in time. At this time, turning on the aerator can allow the upper and lower water layers to exchange, greatly reducing the temperature difference and oxygen difference, and the oxygen in the lower water layer can be replenished in time. In the evening of a sunny day, the photosynthesis of phytoplankton in the fish pond stops and oxygen cannot be supplied to the water. If the aerator is turned on, the dissolved oxygen in the upper water layer will decrease and cannot be replenished, while the dissolved oxygen in the lower water layer will be quickly consumed, which will accelerate the oxygen consumption rate. Therefore, it is not advisable to turn on the aerator in the evening of a sunny day.
  1. On rainy days, start the machine to add oxygen as early as possible and avoid starting it at noon.
On cloudy days, the sunlight intensity is weak, the phytoplankton produces less oxygen through photosynthesis, and the dissolved oxygen conditions of the entire water body are poor. Therefore, starting the machine in the early morning when the dissolved oxygen point is lower can solve the danger of fish floating due to lack of oxygen before and after dawn. On continuous rainy days, due to the lack of sunshine for a long time, the phytoplankton in the fish pond produces very little oxygen through photosynthesis, and the machine must be turned on in the middle of the night to increase oxygen to prevent fish from dying in the pond. However, starting the machine at noon on rainy days not only fails to increase the dissolved oxygen in the lower water, but also reduces the oxygen-producing function of the phytoplankton in the upper layer, increases the oxygen-consuming water layer in the pond, accelerates the oxygen consumption rate of the lower layer, and easily causes fish to float. Therefore, starting the machine and stirring the water at noon has no positive significance.
  1. In summer and autumn, the machine should be started according to different situations, such as at dawn or when there is a sign of floating head.
In hot summer and autumn, the aerator should be turned on for a long time in hot and humid weather, generally in the middle of the night, after fertilization, and when the wind is low. At dawn, if there is a sign of floating, the aerator should be turned on in time to prevent the fish from floating or even dying in the pond.
  1. Apply a large amount of fertilizer and start the machine at noon and early morning on sunny days.
After fertilizing the pond, the organic matter in the water increases, and the oxygen consumption will also increase accordingly. At this time, starting the machine at noon on a sunny day can accelerate the circulation of the water body, promote the decomposition and transformation of fertilizers, and increase the dissolved oxygen in the water. Starting the machine in the early morning can replenish the dissolved oxygen in the water body after fertilization in time, which is reduced due to oxygen consumption at night, to prevent fish from floating.

(II) Pay attention to electrical safety

It is emphasized that the aerator uses 380 volt three-phase electricity, the knife switch should be installed in a rainproof place, and the wires should be cables produced by regular manufacturers.
The power supply of the fish pond aerator is 380 volt three-phase electricity, so you must pay attention to the safety of electricity. The knife switch should be installed in a rain-proof place to prevent the switch from getting wet and leaking electricity. The aerator can be seen at the switch position, so that if an abnormality is found when starting the machine, the power can be turned off immediately. The wire from the fish pond aerator to the knife switch must be a cable produced by a regular manufacturer, generally a 3×1.5 cable is enough.

(III) Functions and applications

Taking the impeller aerator as an example, this article introduces its three functions of oxygenation, aeration and water temperature regulation, as well as the applicable fish pond areas and installation precautions of different specifications.
The impeller aerator has three functions: oxygenation, aeration, and water temperature regulation. The impeller rotates and stirs the water body, dissolving fresh air in the atmosphere into the water, thereby achieving the purpose of oxygenation; at the same time, the rotating impeller presses the upper water layer to the lower layer, which not only transports fresh air down, but also discharges the waste gas at the bottom of the pond; when the weather is hot, the temperature difference between the upper and lower water layers is large, and stirring the water body can balance the water temperature. Impeller aerators are divided into two specifications: 1.5KW and 3KW. A 1.5KW aerator can be used for fish ponds below 5 mu, and a 3KW aerator should be used for fish ponds above 5 mu. If the fish pond area is more than 10 mu, one can be installed at each end of the fish pond. After the aerator is installed, the gear oil should be added to the gear box according to regulations. After the aerator is placed in the fish pond, pay attention to check whether the impeller is evenly in the water. The impeller can be balanced by pouring water into the three floats. The impeller should be submerged in the water about 1 cm.
