1. Start the machine on a sunny afternoon
On a sunny day, the machine is turned on at 2-3 pm. At this time, the surface water layer above 1 meter is hot, the light is sufficient, the photosynthesis is strong, and the dissolved oxygen content reaches supersaturation. Starting the fish pond aerator can stir the water, break the heat layer, promote the convection exchange of water between the upper and lower layers of the pond, fill the oxygen pool of the lower water layer, and keep the entire water area at a reasonable dissolved oxygen content. For example, a 3-kilowatt fish pond aerator loads 3-5 mu of water surface and is turned on for 30 minutes; if the load is 6-10 mu of water surface, it is turned on for 1 hour. After turning on the machine on a sunny afternoon, the storage of water-soluble oxygen in the pond increases due to the replenishment of oxygen in the lower water layer, and it is usually not necessary to turn it on again in the early morning of the next day.
(II) Turning on the machine on cloudy days
Generally, on cloudy days, the machine will be turned on the next morning, in order to directly stir the water and increase oxygen. Due to weak photosynthesis on cloudy days, the water-soluble oxygen reserves in the pond are small, and after consumption at night, the water-soluble oxygen in the pond may decrease, causing fish hypoxia. Therefore, the machine should be turned on at 3-5 am, and if the fish are dense, the machine should be turned on earlier. When the rain continues or there is a serious risk of floating due to reasons such as dense fish, the machine should be turned on before the fish float up. Usually around midnight, the oxygen content in the pond is very low. Waiting until the fish floats to the surface before turning on the aerator may be too late to rescue, and the fish can easily die. The machine is not turned on during the rainy season, because photosynthesis is weak in the rainy season, and the surface water soluble oxygen is not oversaturated. If the machine is turned on at this time, the oversaturated dissolved oxygen in the surface water will be mixed at the bottom, and the purpose of oxygenation cannot be achieved.
(III) Power on at night and when water quality deteriorates
Generally, the pool water is not lacking in dissolved oxygen at night, so do not turn on the machine at night. If you turn it on, it will promote early convection mixing of the upper and lower waters of the fishing ground, and accelerate the oxygen consumption rate. But when the water quality deteriorates, you must turn it on and do not turn it off again, and prepare to use oxygenators. The deterioration of water quality may be caused by a variety of reasons, such as excessive organic matter in the water, algae death, etc. These situations will cause the oxygen content in the water to decrease, posing a threat to the survival of fish. At this time, turning on the aerator can increase the oxygen content in the water and alleviate the lack of oxygen in the fish. At the same time, using oxygenators can quickly increase the oxygen concentration in the water and provide a good living environment for fish.
